It’s always positive to have something to look forward to, to work towards, and if you’re reading this, it’s possible that you’re eagerly anticipating your next cruise.

For us at MSC Cruises, one big thing we’re looking forward to is the arrival of one of our next ships: MSC Bellissima.

It will serve as the flagship of the MSC Cruises fleet, a title currently held by MSC Meraviglia, but it isn’t due to set sail until March 2019.

With some time to kill before then, we’ve compiled a list of the seven most important things you should know about MSC Bellissima.

Bigger and better

The ship is expected to measure at around 315.8 metres long with a width of 43 metres. Although its precise size can’t be confirmed until building is actually complete, MSC Bellissima is set to be the largest ship in the company’s fleet.

With more space than any other ship in the MSC Cruises fleet, it will be able to host more than 5,700 guests, which is a hefty increase on the 4,500 capacity available with the current flagship MSC Meraviglia.

Additionally, MSC Bellissima will boast 20 different bars and 10 individual restaurants, serving fresh authentic food and offering guests more choice than ever before.

You can book to go on it already

2019 might seem like a way off yet, and if you really can’t wait to begin your adventure aboard the MSC Bellissima, you can reserve your place on the ship right now.

Sales were initially only open to members of the MSC Voyagers Club - one of many exclusive benefits of the club - but now, all other guests are able to book their spot on MSC Bellissima.

It will stage exclusive shows by Cirque du Soleil At Sea

Guests on board MSC Bellissima will have the unique opportunity to experience original shows by Cirque du Soleil At Sea. This continues a special partnership between MSC Cruises and Cirque du Soleil that has resulted in the creation of eight original shows across four ships.

Any guests who booked their voyage on MSC Bellissima before August 2017 received a complimentary Cirque du Soleil At Sea dinner and show experience as part of their cruise booking.

MSC Bellissima is the fourth new MSC Cruises ship in two years

This makes the MSC Cruises fleet one of the most modern fleets at sea and that means MSC Bellissima isn’t going to be the baby of the bunch for long. That’s because MSC Cruises is on track to introduce up to 11 new ships between 2017 and 2026.

Fun fun fun

Any guests on board MSC Bellissima won’t be stuck for things to do with access to a world-class line-up of entertainment, as well as a multi-purpose karaoke bar and comedy club.

Younger guests, meanwhile, can have a whale of a time at the Polar Aquapark - one of the most intricate and exciting water parks at sea. It has three twisting slides, a ‘Himalayan Bridge’ and a range of pools, features and activities for all ages.

There’s also a high-tech, multi-purpose TV studio that broadcasts live games, quizzes, talent contests and other fun content across the ship.

Largest LED dome on the seas

The ship’s 96-metre Galleria Bellissima central promenade will be impressive enough with its boutiques, restaurants and tranquil spots for shopping, eating, relaxing and socialising.

But the area really comes to life thanks to a giant 480 square metre LED screen that covers the entire ceiling of the inside promenade, transmitting an atmospheric digital sky that animates the whole area from above with inspiring vistas, sunrises, sunsets and starry night skies.

Just wait till you see it! Book your voyage with MSC Bellissima now.
