To us Brits, nothing compares to a cup of tea and that remains the case even on holiday. Some passengers go to the trouble to pack their own teabags in their luggage before heading off on a cruise, but in this day and age, that is no longer necessary. When MSC Magnifica ship embarks on voyages from Southampton in 2018, each of the for our cabins for British customers will come equipped the necessary facilities to get a decent cuppa whenever the moment takes you.
Teabags, kettles and so much more
Whether you like to start the day with a steaming cup of traditional breakfast tea or wind down on the balcony in the evening with your Rosy Lee, having a kettle in your cabin makes this so much easier. While the brand of tea that will be supplied ? PG Tips, Tetley, Twinings or Yorkshire Tea ? is still hotly contested, rest assured it will be one you?re familiar with.
As well as tea, MSC Cruises is aiming to bring more elements that are in line with British tastes to MSC Magnifica when it sets sail in 2018. Along with the European glamour that characterises its voyages, the cruise line is introducing some home comforts specifically designed to appeal to Brits taking advantage of sailings from Southampton.
A taste of home
While there?s a vast amount of delicious food available on board MSC Magnifica, sometimes you just want some HP Sauce to complement the dish or a draught beer to wash it all down. There?s no need to smuggle Colman?s Mustard into your suitcase or pack that jar of Marmite, as you?ll find all of these things on the ship next year. Plus, with Guinness, John Smith?s and Strongbow all available, you?ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to drinks.
There?s also no need to miss out on your Sunday roast dinner or curry fix, as both of these options will feature at the buffet. Along with tempting tastes of the Med and cuisine from all over the world, guests will be able to indulge in their favourite comfort food and even grab a scone, pie or pasty with their cup of tea in the afternoon to keep them going.
Following your team
Avid football and rugby fans don't need to worry about being away from the action during their cruise, as Premier League games and top-flight rugby internationals will be shown in the sports bar.
If you fancy something a little more niche, then there?s the option to retire to your cabin and flick through the British TV channels supplied for your enjoyment. You can even read all of the pre and post-match analysis in the newspapers from home aboard the ship.
That?s entertainment
Each of MSC Cruises? voyages has more than 20 hours of entertainment, making it easy to find something to suit your tastes. For those with a truly British sense of humour, the late-night comedy shows will be must-sees. Stand-up comedy is expected to be hugely popular aboard MSC Magnifica, so make sure you don?t miss out.
